I have been looking for a new CVS client for the last few days. I tried my old standby of WinCVS but it was just too much for me this time. I did a quick google search and I found Tortoise CVS and am impressed. I will have to see how it stands up over time but so far I like it. There will be more of a review once I find more time to use it functionally.
I am trying to get back into my development of CBViewer, this was spurred on by some interest from another developer out there that was interested in adding some fixes and updates to the code. I sent him a copy of my current code, which also prompted me to finally submit it to CVS. I have set up my new Vista box with the current JDK and jEdit my favorite editor at the moment and am looking into getting my head back into the code. Hopefully this will produce some results. If you are a developer and are interested in where CBViewer is going, feel free to download the current CVS version of CBViewer. If I do actually get more momentum going on the CBViewer project expect the usual rapid releases that are typical of an active open source project. I would much rather have the community do most of my bug testing and feature testing for me instead of doing it myself and waiting to release until things are perfect.
I will be playing around with the jUnrar library and hopefully it will work like I want it to and CBViewer can finally remove the requirement for a platform specific install of unrar. If anyone wants to help out with this, they can feel free to contribute.
