Recirculating Chiller
I just won a recirculating chiller on ebay. I am planning to use this to hook up to my wort chiller. I have previously used a recirculating chiller in this manner and it works great. If you can afford the cost it is worth every penny. I will be posting pictures online once I receive it.
The main reason to use a recirculating chiller is because this way we don’t waste water cooling down the wort. Since I live in a condo and there are many neighbors with whom I share my water resources I have the feeling they wouldn’t appreciate me running the water and wasting it for 15 minutes or so. This doesn’t leave me with a whole lot of options so I feel that this is the best way to go. Also it is pretty cool to be able to point this part of my brewing setup out to people when I show them my setup on brew day.
